City Services

As COVID-19 continues to evolve, the City of Vallejo is attempting to reduce risk of spreading the virus. As a result of additional guidance from the State and Federal government, and to limit potential exposure for employees and customers, City Hall and the Central Permit Center will be open from Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. until further notice.

For the safety of you and others, a face-covering IS REQUIRED at all times while inside City Hall. The City of Vallejo does not provide face coverings. A face covering can be anything from a mask to a scarf or a bandana, as long as your mouth and nose are covered. We appreciate your thoughtfulness to protect yourself and others while conducting your business at City Hall.

During other business hours, routine questions and inspections will still be responded to via phone or email. Applications may be submitted using one of the following options (payments must be sent using options 1 or 3.):

  1. A drop box outside City Hall located at 555 Santa Clara St, Vallejo.
  2. Send items via e-mail to:
    1. [email protected]
    2. [email protected]
    3. [email protected]
  3. Mail to: City of Vallejo, Building or Planning Division, 555 Santa Clara St, Vallejo, CA, 94590.

Water Department
Vallejo-operated drinking water service continues normally. Vallejo's drinking water is high quality and meets or exceeds all safety and regulatory requirements, tested daily. Our water treatment plants are designed to remove and inactivate pathogens including viruses and bacteria. Additionally, we maintain a consistent level of disinfectant in the distribution pipes to ensure the water stays safe as it travels to customer homes and businesses. During these times of concern, your Vallejo drinking water is one less thing to worry about.

For Water Billing, please call (707) 648-4345 or email [email protected]. The City has temporarily suspended charging both commercial and residential water customers a late fee on their past-due water accounts. The City has also temporarily suspended water shutoffs for non-payment of water bills.

To report main breaks or water leaks in the street please call (707) 648-5235.

For general Water questions, such as for conservation information or permits, please call (707) 648-5235 or email [email protected]. For messages left, calls will be answered within one business day.

Water customers may pay online or by the phone; find more information here.

Public Meetings

More details on the Vallejo City Council meeting is available here. Board and Commission meetings, with the exception of the Planning Commission Meeting scheduled for April 20, are canceled until further notice.

Public Safety

Please remember that 9-1-1 should be utilized for emergency situations only. Emergency lines can be quickly impacted during events like COVID-19. In an effort to protect our Firefighters, Police Officers, and Paramedics, we ask that if anyone calls 9-1-1 for any reason, to inform the 9-1-1 dispatcher if you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms.

"We are looking for voluntary compliance to the "Solano County's Shelter at Home" order," said Police Chief Shawny Williams. "The Police Department is taking a compassionate and common sense approach to educating and encouraging our community to comply with the enforcement of this order. We want our community to know that our priority is responding to emergency calls for service, crimes in progress and protecting their liberties. I am proud of our first responders for their selfless service, commitment and courage as they respond to this pandemic."
