The City of Vallejo has a vibrant and successful business community. It is our goal to see this business community succeed. There are several incentives and programs available to businesses to assist in growing and expanding their business and workforce. SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER (SBDC)

America's Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) has setup Solano College SBDC in order to assist small business owners in Solano County. SBDC provides affordable and free small business assistance, local workshops, a 12-week small business entrepreneurial training program, a resource library, and free advice and mentoring. SBDC also provides free face-to-face business consulting and at-cost training on the following topics: writing business plans, accessing capital, marketing, regulatory compliance, technology development and international trade. SCORE

SCORE has dedicated over fifty years to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and mentorship. SCORE is supported by SBA, and with the help of the network of volunteers, is able to deliver their services at no charge or at very low cost. SCORE is able to provide volunteer mentors from 62 industries, free and confidential business counseling, free online business tools/tips, and local workshops. PROPERTY ASSESSED CLEAN ENERGY (PACE) - CALIFORNIAFIRST

CaliforniaFIRST is a Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program and is a public/private financing program that allows businesses and multifamily residential projects to receive upfront funding for energy efficient, renewable energy and water saving improvements. The funding from CaliforniaFIRST would assist in completing the improvement project(s) and would be repaid through the property taxes over the course of up to 20 years. Commercial properties include all nonresidential properties, including multifamily building with four or more units and industrial, retail, agricultural and office space.
