What started as an annual Earth Day cleanup on Mare Island has grown into a quarterly initiative to revitalize Vallejo’s parks, entryways, and high-traffic areas. Litter impacts our environment, tourism, and local businesses—so we're taking action to create a cleaner, greener city for future generations!

The first 50 participants who RSVP and complete the full 4-hour cleanup will receive:

Welcome to Carquinez Quad Squad (CQS)- we would love for you to join our Spring 2025 Roller Derby Bootcamp 

These sessions focus solely on the non-contact beginner roller skate skills necessary to play roller derby as safely as possible.

Requirements:

• 18+

Verismo Opera presents Two One Act Operas:  Suor Angelica by Puccini and Cavalleria Rusticana by Mascagni

Ticket Prices $30 General, $20 Students & Seniors, 12 and under FREE

Uncontrollable passion, tragedy, murder, suicide, and the anguish of an illegitimate child fuel the stories of these two one-act Italian operas that are often performed together.  These classics of the “verismo style” (realistic drama of common people) are full of powerful music that effectively carries the drama towards the resolutions of the stories.  Both operas deal with the hardship and social constructs placed on women who do not conform to the rules of society and religion.  Hear the famous Intermezzo in Cavalleria, as well as several arias that have been featured in movies such as “The Godfather.”

The Vallejo Police Activities League is joining with The Coach Sarna NFL Youth Flag Football League to host the 19th annual Vallejo Sports Hall of Fame. The event will be on March 15th, 2025 and is designed to bring our City together to honor those who have achieved amazing accomplishments through their athletic careers, coaching careers or for their outstanding contributions to our youth sports programs.  

All proceeds from the Vallejo Sports Hall of Fame will directly go to funding local youth sports programs.  These kids receive scholarships to participate in our programs which they would not be able to otherwise afford. Past inductees often say how participating in youth sports gave them the chance for college and a better life. We want this opportunity for the kids of today as well. It is our hope that you will be willing to participate in this popular event by donating raffle items, silent auction items or by becoming a sponsor for the upcoming Vallejo Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.  Your donations are tax deductible and will help in producing a quality event to honor the Vallejo Sports Hall of Fame inductees as well as providing much needed sports programs for the youth of Vallejo.

Tasting coffee with people leads to an intimate human connection. Talking to people about coffee often leads to a very deep interpersonal experience, invoking memories and feeling. What started off as a coffee tasting/sales event five years ago slowly exceeded all expectations. A desire was being fulfilled; a cultural community venue used for sharing knowledge and linking the intimacy between people, coffee, and community. This is a community-building event where people meet and discuss politics, form groups and neighbors make dates to barter their own garden grown products. Many local artists use Moschetti as a free venue to expose their craft and meet the public, musicians and poets share their talent during the open mic, food start ups showcase their local fare, honey, baked goods and farmers share their plant starters or eggs.Every Saturday, Moschetti, Inc. transforms from a full production coffee roasting facility into a retail location with a coffee house aura that has helped make Vallejo a destination, luring people from all over the San Francisco Bay Area to its Community Coffee Tasting Event. This weekly meet up has only gained momentum with time. People converge at our roasting facility every Saturday to sip, savor, select, and purchase freshly roasted coffee from a local artisan. Regular attendees show up to kick start their weekend, some driving all the way out from the East Bay, Marin, and Sonoma Counties to participate in our Saturday cupping.

This hilarious Broadway comedy surrounds a married couple who are art dealers. Their domestic tranquility is shattered upon the arrival of the wife’s goody-goody nerd of a sister, her uptight CPA husband, and her archetypal Jewish mother. They are there to try to save their college-student daughter from the horrors of living only for sex. The comic sparks really begin to fly when the mother hits it off with the elderly minimalist artist who is the art dealers’ best client!

Social Security was originally produced on Broadway by David Geffen and the Schubert Organization at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre in New York City on April 17, 1986. It was directed by Mike Nichols.
