Traffic Engineering

The Traffic Engineering section monitors the City streets, City-owned parking lots, and traffic control devices; and makes recommendations to update infrastructure. The Traffic Engineering section also represents the City of Vallejo with State, Federal, and regulatory agencies with regard to traffic improvement programs.

At regular intervals, Traffic Engineering personnel conduct counts of the traffic volumes on major City streets in order to draw conclusions about traffic patterns in Vallejo and changes over time.
